DEVELOPMENTAL VALUE:
This book is really not about the words, but the illustrations. It starts off with what it looks to be a white brother and sister who later meet a black brother and sister. Throughout the book, they play together and at the end they go their separate ways. This books sends a subtle message about friendship and how it knows no boundaries. Friendship is blind especially at that age. This book is also a great concept book that could be used when learning about summer, or seasons in general.
